19th Century giltwood wall mirror of large proportions. The central mirror glass plate is set within a stunning hand carved giltwood frame with losses all over but retaining the much desired interior designer look. An epic over hanging crest crest and again comprising of centred stylised cabochon flanked with intricately carved scrolling foliate. Acanthus leaves and scrolling foliate make the central feature to this mammoth weighing mirror which oozes french chateau style. Another really truly exceptional piece with original glass and backboards. The glass is mercury and in excellent condition for its age. Subtle foxing to some edges. Circa 1850
