A. Sulka & Co, French, 1893-2002. Bow ties in The Costume Institute at The Metropolitan Museum of Art. This tie is not pristine; you can see in the photos some mild discoloration at the edges of the tie from age. Note that the fabric is watered silk or moire. Some evident wear on inside at neckline. Yet the tie is spectacular—stylish, old school quality, very vintage from 100+ years of tailoring at Sulka. One of the best in my collection.
