The box is in like-new condition. The pieces are clean, soft to touch, and sturdy and come stored safely in a Ziplock bag. 

Please note: I have not completed this puzzle myself. It was one of many I purchased at the estate sale of a Bay Area billionaire. I checked a handful of the puzzles by hand-counting--each had the expected number of pieces. I trust the same will be true for others, though I obviously cannot guarantee it.
