Sound faithful to the original

The HS4 / HS3 inherits the design philosophy and know-how of previous Yamaha studio monitors.

It consists of carefully selected parts such as a high-performance Class D amplifier, a highly resilient MDF cabinet, and a woofer and soft dome tweeter that deliver faithful sound to the source despite their small size. The secret to the HS4 and HS3's flat, high-resolution sound across the entire frequency range without coloring the original sound is their unique Yamaha "twisted flare port" design.

Adjusting Sound Quality to Match the Environment

The sound emitted from a speaker is sometimes affected by its surroundings.

The rear panel of HS4 / HS3 is equipped with ROOM CONTROL and HIGH TRIM functions to suppress unwanted low frequencies that tend to occur when the speakers are placed near a wall, ensuring ideal sound in any environment.

Inputs and Controls for Every Use Case

The HS4 / HS3 rear panel has a combo XLR/TRS phone jack, RCA, and stereo mini jacks for connection to a wide range of equipment, including computers, audio interfaces, mixers, and electronic instruments.

Frequently used functions such as the volume knob and headphone jack are located on the front panel for easy access.
