Welcome to the "Country Guitar in 6 Weeks" guitar course. These lessons are designed to focus your practice towards realistic goals achievable in 6 weeks. Each week provides you with techniques, concepts, and licks to help you play and understand country soloing at a manageable easy to follow pace Three licks in the style of a featured artist are taught each week to help you towards playing in real musical situations and develop an ear for the differences between players.
If you have been frustrated or intimidated by other educational material this course is for you. You will see improvement as you work through each week. The material is presented in easy-to-absorb sections that progress in a sensible logical order.

Week One
The major pentatonic scale and variation in one position, right-hand picking, country phrasing, sequencing the major pentatonic scale, three licks in the style of Vince Gill. -
Week Two
The 3-octave horizontal pentatonic scale and variation in two keys, picking techniques, building solos using repetition, slides, hammer on's, pull off's and sequences, three licks in the style of Dickie Betts. -
Week Three
Diatonic 6ths, playing major pentatonic scales across changing chords in a simple progression, pedal steel licks and bending, chromatics, pick and finger technique, three licks in the style of The Eagles. -
Week Four
Playing classic country blues, Chick'n Pick'n techniques, one minor pentatonic scale pattern, mixing the major and minor pentatonic scale to produce bluesy country licks, three licks in the style of James Burton. -
Week Five
Learn a classic country boogie blues, muted bass lines, introduction to dominant 7th arpeggios, combining chords and licks, using arpeggios to create cool licks, three licks in the style of Danny Gatton. -
Week Six
Learn to play over a 4 chord progression, an introduction to major triad arpeggios, an introduction to hybrid picking, developing hybrid picking techniques, three licks in the style of Albert Lee.
