Manufactured by Meccano Ltd. of Liverpool, circa 1931. For the Hornby Series O gauge trains range.
An early example of No.5500 with the numbers not carried on a simulated number plate.
Structurally sound and complete with all the correct original fittings, sound original wheels free from metal fatigue.
Some small areas of well colour matched touch-up, buffer beams repainted, very clean with a light varnish coat.
The clockwork mechanism is in full working order, brake & reverse both functional.
Ready to use & enjoy.
