This genuine Neet® Firewire adapter allows you to connect FireWire 400 (1394a older style) peripherals to any computer with a FireWire 800 (1394b) port. This includes any MacBook Pro, Mac Mini, iMac or any other computer / laptop etc. with a FireWire 800 port. 

The adapter features a 9-pin male connector to plug into your computer's FireWire 800 port and a 6-pin female connector to plug in a FireWire 400 cable to enable you to use older FireWire 400 devices on your computer.

The adapter is Bi-Directional so data works both ways from 400 to 800 and 800 to 400.

The adapter is made with a tough, travel ready and durable ABS construction with precision fit ports for reliable connections.
