Paris Budapest Caravane marks the meeting of three groups who individually are the best exponents of their respective musical aesthetics. Latcho Drom are represent the French style of swing and gypsy jazz, while the Hungarian ensembles Parno Graszt and Etno Rom are the keepers of the Tziganes' Olah music tradition and Rom music from Eastern Europe. After a successful live concert series, the popularity of this mix led to an international tour and the recording of this album.
