This is for an original ticket stub for the July 5 1954 doubleheader between the New York Yankees and Philadelphia Athletics from Connie Mack Stadium in Philadelphia. This would be the last year for the Athletics in Philadelphia before moving to Kansas City for the 1955 season. In the first game of the doubleheader, Joe Collins and Mickey Mantle would hit back to back homers in the eighth inning on the way to a 7-4 Yankees win. The home run would be number 17 for Mantle for the year and the 74th of his career. The second game would be an 11-2 Yankees blowout with Irv Noren clouting 2 home runs, Yogi Berra hitting a triple and double and Mickey Mantle tripling for most of the Yankees offense. A nice full stub for someone trying to collect every ticket stub from the Micks career.
