Displayed is an old authentic "swing-out sugar jar" from the time period of 1919 - early 1930's.   These were installed in "hoosier type" kitchen cabinets such as were manufactured by companies like Hoosier, Sellers, McDougall, Napanee, Wilson etc. I rescued this nice jar from a cabinet I'd purchased for parts. The mounting ring the jar fits into measures 7 3/8th" (inside dia.), the smaller diameter of the glass jar that slips into the ring measures 7 1/4th" (outside dia.), and the jar is 8 7/8th" tall. This particular style could be installed in cabinets that had either the tambour/roll-top feature or two hinged doors on the front. (Note, this sugar jar will not work in a cabinet that has what were called the "roll doors" that slid from side to side. Such installations required a different mounting bracket for the jar to be accessible.)  The pictures I've provided and my condition statement should provide clarity regarding this nice antique piece.  Any questions regarding this item, contact me prior to making purchase. I have restored hoosier-type cabinets for over 20 years. This is the first one of this pattern I've had! Upon purchase this item will be shipped via USPS Ground Advantage. We sell and ship only within the contiguous 48 states of America. Thanks for looking!

UPDATE NOTE... I recently listed a Colonial Pattern "Spice Jar Set, COFFEE, TEA, 5 SPICE JARS and a WIRE RACK/JAR HOLDER" here on E-Bay that complete a very nice set of hoosier glassware. It isn't often you come across such an opportunity.
