Unique F W Woolworth Co. Depression Era Merchandise - Bird Making Kit 39¢ circa 1935 - '39.
Kit consists of:
#10 Envelope with "Bird Making Kit 69¢" typewritten on front. Plastic strip colors hand written in Postage stamp corner of envelope.
Instructions, provided by F W Woolworth Co. and
3 strips of rigid plastic film with Red, Silver, Blue transparent coating. Possibly photo film material. Strips are 9" x 3 1/4". Red strip is 9" x 2 1/8" wide. Silver strip has age fading.
This was purchased at a five & dime (Woolworths) in southern Minnesota in the late 1930's. Never Used. Unique example of F W Woolworth merchandising. Seems to be locally assembled for sale in the local 5 & dime store.
