JABO Peltier Mansion Marble
Collector Series
Red Roller
MINT-
Run Date: 9/11/08

This is the first of a group of JABO Peltier Mansion marbles that I will be selling out of my keeper vault. It's time to part with some of my best JABOs and this exquisite run of marbles is the prize. This is one of the most coveted JABO marble runs due to a variety of reasons...the superb glass quality used in the run, the glass color design by the marble artists and just the plain rarity of finding these marbles. For you serious collectors, take a look and check out these rare mint examples of the JABO Peltier Mansion marble run...

This JABO Peltier Mansion Run had some famously named families due to the wide variety of designs inside this one run. Some examples are as follows: Purple Betty, Zygote, Salmon Skin, Red Roller, Brown Ethers, Multimica 1, Multimica 2, Yellow Fineline, Katydid, Katydid Reds, Aventurine Feathers, Brown Feathers and Red Aventurine Swirls. One of the extremely rare marble families is the Katydid marble family. The marble you see in these pictures is one of these rare examples of the Red Roller. It has nice surface quality and exhibits awesome crimson red base glass. This marble could easily be the centerpiece of a large JABO marble collection. Collectors will see this value and my guess is that it will sell rather quickly.

The unique characteristic about this Red Roller family is undoubtedly the the wonderful crimson red base glass. The obsidian black glass offsets the crimson red glass beautifully. In any case, these Red Rollers are quite rare and they are very desirable marbles for many JABO marble collectors. If you can find them, they usually get quite expensive, but that is what makes them so special.

The other characteristic of this Red Roller is that nice swirl of black mica. It has a slightly different appearance than aventurine in that it is much darker. This particular Red Roller has a spectacular sparkle and pop to the mica. My other Red Rollers do not have the same extraordinary level of sparkle. It is different and very cool indeed. This will be an other fine example of the Peltier Mansion marble family to add to your collection. These marbles are so unique and so desirable...I really enjoyed collecting these Peltier Mansion and now it is time to let others enjoy them also.

I would encourage everyone to do their own research on this very desirable JABO marble run and check out the pedigree of these collector series...they are very cool indeed.  So, look closely at the various pictures supplied here and compare to what you find on the internet. Imagine what this would look like in your collection. Due to the rarity and how few of these I have in my collection, these will be priced accordingly. My apologies ahead of time.

I try my best to take high resolution pictures with flash to show exactly what you are getting. I use a Canon Rebel DSLR with built-in flash to show as much detail as possible. I try to rotate the marble to give multiple views. This marble was manufactured using the 3/4" machine and the size of this particular marble is a rather large 0.754" in diameter. Note: the downgrade from a perfectly mint marble is due to one small dimple that I have tried to capture on the last picture. These darker marbles tend to show any imperfections more readily. This is still quite collectable IMHO.
