The Diezel Herbert Pedal is the third in a series of analog effector/preamp pedals that faithfully reproduces the distortion channel (ch.3) of the company's original amp head, the Herbert Amp.

Like the Herbert Amp, it is equipped with an effective "Midcut" that can be switched ON/OFF, allowing for sharper distortion sound-making in an intuitive manner.

When the "Midcut" is turned on, the "Midcut Master" provides independent volume control, allowing the user to set the boost level when leading.

The EQ section has Bass, Mid, Treble, Deep, and Presence controls just like the original Herbert Amp, and the wide range of Gain allows you to freely create sounds from clear crunch to high-gain, high-compression lead tones.

It can be used not only as an overdrive pedal input into the input of a guitar amp, but also as a preamp by connecting it to a power amp or the send/return return of a guitar amp.

The footswitch operates as an effect ON/OFF bypass operation when input to a guitar amp, and as an ON/MUTE operation when input to a power amp.

The HERBERT PEDAL is not an emulator or digital modeling pedal, but a pure preamp/overdrive pedal with 100% analog circuitry and Diezel amp direct lineage.
