Yamaha's classic FG/FS series has been redesigned!

The year 2016 marks the 50th anniversary since the birth of Yamaha's first domestic folk guitars, the FG180 and FG150, in 1966. During that time, Yamaha has supported various music scenes by constantly improving quality and technological innovation while meeting a wide range of needs, from beginner models for beginners to professional models. 2016 sees a new incarnation of the "FG/FS Series," with all models in the lineup completely redesigned. The newly designed bracing (sound bar) strengthens the mid-bass and delivers an even more powerful sound. In addition to two different body shapes, a wide variety of colors are available to meet the needs of a wide range of players.

■Newly designed scalloped bracing for enhanced mid-bass

We developed a new bracing design through a trial-and-error process of simulation and analysis using the latest technology. This has resulted in a more powerful sound and richer resonance in the mid to low range, while maintaining the durability of the surface plate.

■A wide selection of models to suit your preferences

The "FG Series" is a traditional western body model. The "FG Series" is a traditional western-body model with a powerful bass range and clear treble range, and its fast-rising sound has been further refined. The "FS Series" boasts outstanding playability thanks to its small body and short string length. The new model has a thinner body, making it even easier to handle. The new model features a sound that is both full and grainy. Both series are available in a wide variety of grades and colors, allowing you to choose the model that best suits your taste from a total of 23 models.
