RARE Antique (ca. 1920) Chromolithographic Print

"The Wind in the Willows" inspired illustration with the ever so charming "Carol of the Fieldmice" from the book by Kenneth Grahame.

The artist's initials "G.C." appear on the far right of the mantle. We do not know who this is.

The print is believed to be from the UK and does not appear on the internet anywhere. The frame was in rough condition but has been fully cleaned and it is now quite a beautiful accent to this lovely print. The anti-reflective glass is clean and clear and free from chips, cracks or scratches. The backing board is new.

Dimensions:
Frame = 19.25 x 25.5 inches
Print = 18 x 24 inches

Condition: The image is bright and colorful and shows no obvious signs of fading or discoloration. The paper does have some yellowing, more visible from the back as well as along the edges behind the frame rails (see photos). There is no sign of water damage. The frame is clean and remarkably well preserved with only one scratch see last photo, as well as other very minor scuffs and scratches elsewhere. The backing board needed to be replaced with new.
