Description

 [Condition]

Condition appropriate for model year. The neck is generally straight, and the string height is approximately 2.1mm above the 12th fret of the 6th string, and 1.6mm above the 12th fret of the 1st string, and is set low by adjusting the neck and saddle. The pickguard from the 1970s was originally under the paint, but the original one on this one has been removed and replaced with a new one with a thicker chamfer. The frets have been rubbed together, and about 60% to 70% are left. Also, there is a chip in the ebony material on the 6th string side and 3rd fret fingerboard side. There is about 10cm of anti-cracking repair on the top, and there are many weather checks and dents throughout the body that are appropriate for the age. In order to match the octave pitch, the saddle position has been rearranged approximately 5mm. Therefore, I cannot say that they match perfectly, but compared to individuals of the same age, the pitch of the octave has improved. Although there are some cracks, scratches, and marks left, each part has been carefully adjusted, and although it retains the tasteful appearance of a 1972 model, it plays well, and the sound is very thick and powerful, typical of vintage. It has become. Especially in this era, the neck reinforcement was made of square rods, and the bridge area inside the body and the bridge plate that held the ball end of the strings were made of large rosewood, so it was a little heavy to start, but once it sounded. When you start it, a bunch of sounds come forward, and it's a very good sound for a Martin who strums. It produces a thick sound, so if you use a thin pick, you might lose the sound, so it is recommended to make strokes with a hard, thick pick of 1.0 mm or more. Please take this opportunity to take a look at the 70's Martin, which has become less and less seen over time. There is also a trial video, so please take a look.

[D-28]

Speaking of acoustic guitars, the Martin D-28 has become such an indispensable model when talking about acoustic guitars that it is often referred to as the D-28 (Dreadnought-sized Style 28). It was first manufactured nearly 90 years ago in 1931 with a 12-fret joint body that was even larger than the current one. It was named as a model that produces a powerful sound similar to the British battleship "Dreadnought" that was active in World War I. It gained popularity as an accompaniment instrument in place of the piano due to its powerful sound that spread through the space. Later, in 1934, the D-28 was produced with a 14th fret joint and the same body shape as today in order to improve playability in high positions above the 12th fret without sacrificing the power of the sound. From then until now, there have been minor specification changes such as changes in the wood source and pickguard color, but it continues to be made as Martin Guitar's most popular model without ever stopping production. The D-28 has evolved with the history of music and is used by many famous musicians.
