Vintage 1940s gown, in a rare, beautiful shade of mint seafoam green.

Gown is Old Hollywood worthy, with its asymmetrical gathered draping across the bodice and hip, petal sleeves, large shoulder pads, and attached long sash ties at waist to complement the figure-enhancing draping by cinching you in at the waist.

Dress opens with side press studs and one hook and eye, and two buttons at back neck.

No labels, appears expertly homemade.

Shown unpinned on a 34" bust, 26" waist, 35" hip mannequin, and certainly fits, owing to the flexibility of the waist ties, but best for larger.

Bust: 38-40"
Waist: 28", 29" taut
Hip: 44" taken 10" below waistline
Length: 52"

Very good condition on the whole, dress is sturdy and wearable, and has been cleaned. Please see last photos for flaws -- small tear at bottom of back neck opening, unnoticeable when worn. Faint mark at hem, and also a very faint one on skirt, which is difficult to see, and wouldn't be noticed when wearing. Small pull at back shoulder. One shoulder pad needs a stitch, but fine as is. Faint lipstick mark on one shoulder, which I haven't tried to treat, may lift with another more intensive clean or dryclean. Sold as is.
