1979 Austin Mini 1380cc - tax and mot exempt

A much loved car of mine and a regrettable sale. I’ve owned this car for over 15 years and i have enjoyed building and driving it but i just don’t use it any more so it needs to go to a good home. It has lived in my parents garage since i restored it and i have always avoided using it in winter or when the roads are wet, as such there is absolutely no rust anywhere. Awesome fun to drive, it goes well and sounds epic with the combination of the dellorto carb and straight cut gears. Dyno printout at 100bhp.

The restoration work i did took several years to complete. Everything was either brand new or reconditioned at the time and it still looks fresh. It was painted Yukon grey with a black roof.

Overall condition is very good as you can hopefully tell from the photos, it’s had an absolute fortune spent on it over the years and i’ve only used quality parts. Oil changed every year, stacks and stacks of receipts for parts etc.

Not many things to note about the car really, the rev counter isn’t working and just goes full scale with ignition on.
I’ve only put a little over 3000 miles on it since i’ve owned. Mileage on the clocks i fitted started at around 6500 when restoration was completed and is now on 9743.

Also if you think this could be a daily driven car think again, it’s raw and loud! The clutch pedal is heavy and the clutch is either on or off. The cam makes the engine run lumpy and doesn’t really come alive until around 3k rpm. But i loved it this way and it just added to the driving experience, it is honestly like no other car and it turns heads everywhere it goes.

I have the v5 in my name. Two complete sets of keys.

No doubt there are lots of things i have forgotten to mention but if you have any questions please ask.
