Made in the - Built right here in America, you can proudly purchase this system and know you are contributing to the American economy!
Removes 99.9% of water contaminates - Removes a wide range of contaminates including sodium, aluminum, lead, copper, arsenic, mercury, calcium, phosphate, iron, magnesium, zinc, chloride, nitrate, silicate, cyanide, sulphide, nickel, silver, bicarbonate, manganese, ammonium, barium, and chromium, as well as removing 95-97% of bacteria! The RO does most of the work, removing 95-97%, with the two DI filters removing what remains, giving you 99.9% effective removal.
Nuclear Grade DI Filter - Gives you the highest rejection rates, longest life, highest purity DI water.
Inline DI Filter - Second inline DI filter ensures the highest quality water and allows the full size filter to completely exhaust before changing it, increasing filter efficiency! Larger inline filter provides more capacity than standard inline DI filters on the market.
Ideal for Reef Aquariums - With the DI filters, this system will produce the ultra pure water that most reef aquarists prefer, and will allow you to make water whenever you need it. No longer will you have to make a trip to get water, leaving you more time to enjoy your aquarium or follow other pursuits, as well as leaving more money in your pocket.

Snap faucet adapter to connect RO to kitchen faucet, comes with snap adapter and fitting adapters to fit most standard faucets. Add $15.00
Undersink kit, allows you to connect with an adapter to your cold water line and leave it connected. Also includes drain saddle to leave drain line connected to drain line under your sink. Add $8.00

Auto Shut Off Valve Upgrade - $16
Recommended when using the system with a float or tank. Shuts the water to the membrane off when the float activates or the tank is full, eliminating unnecessary waste water.

4 Gallon Storage Tank - $44
Pressurized storage tank with ball valve for storing purified water. Capable of storing approximately 3.2 gallons of water, depending on water pressure. Comes with connection kit that includes T-fitting, tubing, & inline ball valve. An auto shut off valve is recommended when using a pressurized storage tank.

14 Gallon Storage Tank - $114
Pressurized storage tank with ball valve for storing purified water. Capable of storing approximately 10 gallons of water, depending on water pressure. Comes with connection kit that includes T-fitting, tubing, & inline ball valve. An auto shut off valve is recommended when using a pressurized storage tank.

Aquatec 8800 Booster Pump - $129
Electric booster pump to increase pressure to system, increasing production and decreasing waster. Required in homes with less than 40psi. Simply plug it in when you want to make water and unplug it when you are done. If using with a tank or float valve the ESO & TSO switches are required for proper operation. NOTE: This higher pressure pump is required for larger membranes used in these systems. Lower pressure pumps (such as the Aquatec 6800) will not provide satisfactory results

ESO & TSO Switches - $40
Electronic switches for use with the Aquatec booster pumps. Required when using a tank or float valve. TSO switch detects when tank is full or float activates, shutting off pump and triggering the ESO. ESO switch shuts water to the system off, eliminating unnecessary waste water. NOTE: The ESO takes place of the auto shut off valve, if using the ESO switch the auto shut off valve is not needed.

About De-Ionization (DI)
How De-Ionization (DI) Works
De-ionization, (commonly referred to as DI), is a common process for producing ultra pure water. The DI filter is filled with resin beads, some with a negative charge and some with a positive charge. When you test your water with a TDS meter (total dissolved solids), it gives you a number that tells you the sum of the different contaminates in your water. All of these contaminates are either negatively or positively charged, so when they pass through the DI filter they are attracted to the oppositely charged resin beads. Since the DI filter has both negatively and positively charged resin beads it is able to remove 99% of the contaminates in your water. Reverse Osmosis (RO) is capable of removing 95-97% of all contaminates, so when the remaining 3-5% is passed through a DI filter you are effectively removing 99.9% of the contaminates. This quality of water is comparable to distilled water and is excellent for use in reef aquariums and other application where distilled water is used.
Is It Safe To Drink DI Water?
DI water is 99% pure water, comparable to distilled water, so it is just as safe to drink as distilled water is. Due to the fact that it is so pure, a lot of people do not like the taste, so it's potability (drinkability) comes down to your own personal opinion.

About Reverse Osmosis (RO)
What is Reverse Osmosis?

Reverse osmosis, also known as hyperfiltration, is the finest filtration known. This process will allow the removal of particles as small as dissolved individual ions from a solution. Reverse osmosis is used to purify water and remove ions and dissolved organic molecules. It can be used to purify fluids such as ethanol and glycol, which will pass through the reverse osmosis membrane, while rejecting other ions and contaminants from passing. The most common use for reverse osmosis is in purifying water. It is used to produce water that meets the most demanding specifications that are currently in place. If two aqueous solutions of different salinity are separated by a semi-permeable membrane, osmosis will cause water to pass through the membrane in the direction of the more concentrated solution, therefore diluting it. By applying sufficient pressure to the more concentrated liquid, the direction of osmosis can be reversed. In this way, we can mechanically reverse the flow and separate the concentrated solution into its constituents: the water and the dissolved solids. One part is called the permeate, or filtrate, and the other is the reject stream, or concentrate.

How Does A Membrane Separate Substances?

Reverse osmosis uses a membrane that is semi-permeable, allowing the fluid that is being purified to pass through it, while rejecting the contaminants that remain. Most reverse osmosis technology uses a process known as crossflow to allow the membrane to continually clean itself. As some of the fluid passes through the membrane the rest continues downstream, sweeping the rejected species away from the membrane, in a concentrated brine reject water. The process of reverse osmosis requires a driving force to push the fluid through the membrane, and the most common force is pressure from a pump. The higher the pressure, the larger the driving force. As the concentration of the fluid being rejected increases, the driving force required to continue concentrating the fluid increases.
Reverse osmosis is capable of rejecting bacteria, salts, sugars, proteins, particles, dyes, and other constituents that have a molecular weight of greater than 150-250 daltons. The separation of ions with reverse osmosis is aided by charged particles. This means that dissolved ions that carry a charge, such as salts, are more likely to be rejected by the membrane than those that are not charged, such as organics. The larger the charge and the larger the particle, the more likely it will be rejected.

Size Comparison

Comparatively, if a water molecule was the size of a tennis ball, then...
Most metals and inorganic compounds would be the size of a softball...
Most organic compounds would be the size of a basketball...

Most viruses would be the size of a bus...
Most bacteria would be the size of a pyramid...
and most protozoa would be the size of Mt. St. Helens!
