A lot of Roman Provincial Tetradrachm of varying silver purity levels. These coins were minted in the Roman provinces to match the pre-existing monetary systems in the region.


Various emperors are represented in this lot, including Trajan Decius, Elagabulus, Trebonianus Gallus, Philip I (the Arab), among other 3rd century rulers. Most of these coins were minted in Antioch, one of the richest cities in the world at the time. 


These coins are fairly substantial in size, averaging 11.87 grams (ranging from 7.69-14.13g), and having a diameter of 22-29 mm.
