I bought this item as a teenager in the 1970's. It works great!
The 4 color lights (red, blue, yellow & green) all work and all flash.
The outer plastic has some surface scratches but you don't notice when in use.
The cord is approx. 65" long. The unit is just over 10" high and approx. 7" across.
The base does separate from the unit (it was made that way) and there are a couple slight cracks there. They do not cause any problems with the unit. I tried to get a good pic but it kept coming out blurry. If you look at the picture you can see some darker lines where the 2 pieces meet. Those are the cracks, but again they are slight and do not cause any problem (basically hairline fractures).
