I service professionally any vintage lens.

If  you have your own lens that needs a service, please get in touch, I'm more than happy to help in bringing back to life your old lens. I also carry out repairs where possible, if the lens has a factory fault or something that occurred during it's use.

In most cases, you will receive your lens in amazing condition , unless there are serious damages on it.

This is something I do in my spare time ,  for many years, no matter of make and model.

I do this as a passion for photography, for vintage lenses , and so you guys can enjoy a vintage glass on it's full potential, without having to worry about the issues that a 40/60/70  years old lens has without being service.

This listing is for a copy of the famous Tessar 50mm f2.8 . The Tessar is a superb lens, very sharp with a  short minimum focusing distance.

The lens has been fully serviced by myself (I never service a lens partially ) , completely disassembled, every little part has been cleaned, washed, polished, re lubricated.

The washing process , with detergents, not only helps for a nice and clean look of the barrel, getting all the dust out, but it also eliminates the risk of any fungal traces/spores may exist on the parts.

Mechanically the lens is is fully working order since it has received a full overhaul.

The focusing is very smooth , I use a home made grease designed for camera lenses,  which I found to be the best available on the market after testing many other industry dedicated greases during the years. This grease is made by one of our eBay members "red-vision" and is available here on ebay.

All the glass elements have been cleaned , also exposed to UVC as a preventive measures for potential fungus traces.

Optically the lens is in suoerb condition, there are no damages, no scratches or coating issues. You may find micro dust particles within the glas of the optics, this is very common on Carl Zeiss lenses of this age due to the glass manufacturing process not being perfect back then.

The lens is tested and performs beautiful as it should, please feel free to ask if you wish to see samples taken with the lens.

For the aesthetic condition of the lens barrel please inspect all the photos. There are no dents or damages, just regular signs of wear.

Focuses to infinity on M42 mount camera or with a correct adapter for digital.

Sold with  rear cap only I will make sure the front is protected properly before dispatching it.
