Hand carved Least Sandpiper stands on a circle of wood.  Bird is antique and marked on bottom of stand with an image of a bobcat.  This is a native American synbol.  Bird has a black beaded eye with a white eye ring.  Tail is white with black stripes  The bill is 1 1/2 inches long to probe the sand.  White under the throat and belly.  The carving is 4 in long x 2 high.  I am a bird lover but not versed in identification of shorebirds.  I am not 100% sure of a positive identification.
