This auction is for a Near Mint copy of Warlord Of Mars #17 that was released by Dynamite Entertainment in 2012. It is written by Arvid Nelson with interior art by Edgar Salazar and an incredibly painted Variant Cover by Lucio Parrillo that has Dejah Thoris looking gorgeous and is extremely hard to find. In this issue, John Carter has returned to Mars only to find Helium under the control of a ruthless dictator named Zat Arras who is also holding Dejah Thoris and Princess Thuvia captive. Now, it is up to the Warlord Of Mars and his trusted friend, Tars Tarkas, to rescue his true love with the help of John Carter's son, Carthoris, and Woola. This issue also introduces the Black Pirates, a group of black skinned Martians that were believed to be an extinct race known as the First Born.
