The Rolling Stones - Voodoo Lounge (GATEFOLD 2 x 12" NO VINYL LP) JUST SKELETON

This is the gatefold sleeve for the Rolling Stones classic 1990s album Voodoo Lounge. The vinyl sleeve only - it was used to promote the release in the record shop i worked in back in Dundee back in 1994. This copy of the SLEEVE ONLY was sent out for promotional event on release of the album. It has a couple of pin marks in the corner and centre (see photos) and a couple of minor marks on front (again tried to photograph everything).

Mainly as a nice as promotional item (no different from official release as far as i can see - assume the label just sent out a load extra!) but also as a nice item to frame or make into art. Overall EX Condition. obviously size is 12" by 12" !! Also for those of you that have the record but the sleeve have been damaged this is just an ideal replacement.

Apologies for cost of postage for such a light item - obviously given size is what makes it £3-55 postage plus a record envelope and all - so even then end up losing on postage !!!

As ever any queries do not hesitate to contact me

QUESTIONS : As with all these LPS especially that i am selling - please do not hesitate to contact me with any specific questions, however trivial or specific. I will try and answer them as clearly, in detail and also as honestly as possible.

Please note though - Sometimes I copy someone else’s advert – so scope for errors / oversights is possible – not intentional … What I am selling in in the photos -

I take as many photos as I can – but not a dealer just a fan having a clear out – no mark up in this for certain !!  But I do have a poor camera on my phone – or at least temperamental! Sometimes photos are blurry. And sometimes my shadow / reflection is in most photos!!  And you can often see the lights on the roof in the reflection as well !!! (not scratches! – though of course some of the records do have marks – but don’t confuse the light chandelier for scratches !!! )

I try to describe all items as accurately -  If you are serious I am happy to dig out an item and send more photos – when / if I get time! – again not my profession! – music journalism was my profession but not selling / dealing records! Much as I love them all – although my wife wants them all out the house.

Condition. : I take a great deal of effort in describing these items in as much detail as possible. I am also as accurate as possible. Obviously I dont have the time or ability (or in some cases the desire!) to listen to these LPs. So grading is visual. Please note as well though – a lot of my discs are dusty and would benefit from a clean – see photos!

REFUNDS: With my LPs only however please be clear - I do not accept people contacting me after auctions to ask for partial refunds when i have tried to give as much detail as possible. Happy to refund in full upon return of item - return post paid by buyer (except where i am factually wrong obviously). This is not personal - just from experience I have had 2 people contact to say they want partial refund or will leave bad feedback! Thats just blackmail as well as horrible!!

I try to be as accurate as possible and use the below system as closely as possible –

Please note – especially with batches / job lots of vinyl – especially 7” singles I have tried to describe as much as possible but it is not always possible to catch everything  - a specific mark on the vinyl or even damage on the sleeve. Please ask or study photos clearly if there is a specific disc you are bidding for … I reiterate again  - I am not a dealer, just a guy trying to get his music out to other fans!!

This also means I am open to considering offers – usually on the second time of listing. Please offer away and if remains unsold will usually accept (generally as long as I break even after Ebay fees , postage etc!)

Also – I am more than happy to meet to save on postage. I live in Edinburgh but also visit south Norfolk from time to time if either of these locations suit!

GRADING SYSTEM:

M Mint: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

Ex Excellent: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

Vg VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

G GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

F FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump.

The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

P POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

B BAD: The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.
