Shown here are six Civil War fired and dropped bullets dug from 1972-1978 in different areas of the Shenandoah Valley where battles and skirmishes took place, these were all dug with the property owner's permission. This area was heavily fought over during the war by both Union and Confederate troops, battles fought here included Kernstown, Winchester, Cedar Creek and New Market during Sheridan's Shenandoah Valley campaign. The group of bullets consist of 4 Enfield .577 Cal. fired bullets, there are 2 .58 Cal. three ring dropped bullets with one being a Swage or machine turned bullet. I loved finding fired bullet's each one is unique.
