Description
This instrument is a Japanese model "GL-15", which was manufactured in Japan under license from the original American manufacturer. Spruce top, rosewood sides and back, ebony fingerboard and bridge, Gotoh pegs. Mother-of-pearl snowflake fingerboard inlays, all veneer body. It is a dreadnought type with approximately 645mm scale and has a clear, hard, crisp tone. The original design with tortoiseshell pickguard, herringbone trim, and head shape has a certain atmosphere. Although the domestic Gallagher was produced in the 80s to early 90s, it remains clean considering its age with relatively few scratches. The string height is also set at a standard setting, so it can be used for many years to come. This is one that does not appear on the used market very often.
