The Eames Time Life Lobby Chair, model ES105 / 675, designed in 1960 by Charles and Ray Eames. The chair was designed for the lobby area in the iconic Time Life Building in Manhattan, New York. The chair needed to express grandoise An adaptation of the specially commissioned 'Lobby Chairs' for the Time Life building in New York, the 1960 release of the Lounge Chair version brought this wonderful design to homes, offices, conference rooms and lobbies all over the US and beyond.

The conceptual commissioned pieces installed into the Lobby of the Time Life building were grandiose, wide framed and set into a laid back position. The design had after all, attempted to re-create the comfort of the Eames Lounge chair, but without the size.

The chair is still in its original usable vintage condition (as pictured). However, there are a number of companies that can completely restore to it's original condition for £800-£1000. Which includes replacement of the padding and a colour change (if preferred). I have seen these chairs in restored condition sell for £5000-£7000.
