NEW! Acorn A3000/3010/3020/A4000 ZIDEFS IDE Interface / Mini-Podule & mSATA

Description:

This listing includes a 16GB Innodisk mSATA 3ME disk, IDE to mSATA adaptor and the ZIDEFS mini-podule.

IDE Interface mini-podule (ZIDEFS) suitable for A3000/A3010/A3020/A4000 - provides a 44pin socket for media to IDE adaptors. Requires RISC OS 3.10 or later.
This listing is for the card complete with IDE to mSATA interface and 16GB mSATA Disk partitioned into four 512MB 'drives'. Yes 14GB is unused.

* Support for partitions Master and Slave drives can be fitted
* I2C connector for non-motherboard RTC modules etc.
* Configurable as ZIDEFS, IDEFS or SIDEFS

Also available with an adaptor for direct connection to SD cards here, or a blank version ideal for spinning drives with no adaptors here.

We recommend mSATA as they are designed for computer filing system type usage whereas SD & CF are designed for cameras so we'd expect a longer life expectancy from mSATA.

For speed test results please see the end of the listing.

Warning
Please note that plugging an interface/adaptor in the wrong way may irreparably damage the podule and/or the computer. The IDE connectors have pin 1 marked to assist orientation.

Innodisk mSATA 3ME 16GB SSD Flash Drive

Innodisk mSATA 3ME is designed as the standard Mini PCIe form factor with Sata interface, and supports Sata III standard (6.0Gb/s) with excellent performance. The form factor refers to the MO-300 specification which established by JEDEC. Regarding of mechanical interference, Innodisk mSATA 3ME absolutely replaces the traditional hard disk and makes personal computer, in any field, smaller and easier. Innodisk mSATA 3ME effectively reduces the booting time of operation system and the power consumption is less than hard disk drive (HDD), and complies with ATA protocol, no additional drives are required, and can be configured as a boot device or data storage device.

It says 'error' for the load/save large file as this is an 8MB test which the A30x0 can't do due to only having 4MB of RAM
