Evening Dress 14 & Shrug Grey Lace Beaded Sequin Phase Eight Midi 20s Flapper

Beautiful  Lace Dress and Matching Bolero Shrug Jacket 

 Designer -  Phase Eight.  

Dress size label missing - Shrug Size 14.   
 
 

 Approximate Measurements when lying flat:-

Dress - length 47 - 49".     bust 37".   waist 32",   hips 41".   
Shrug - length 16",   sleeves 24.5",

Bust 39"/99cm, waist 29.5"/75cm, hips 41"/104cm

The dress is very tight at the top of the bodice - I think these dresses were made tight here to stop them falling down if they were worn strapless. 

 The material is a light grey slightly stretchy lace  65% viscose, 35% nylon.  The dress is fully lined in viscose. The label states Dry Clean only but I have hand washed some dresses like this one with no problem.  The dress is embellished with haematite like dark grey beads  and  flat silver sequins  beads front and back (although there is less embellishment on the back). 

  The dress is a fitted shift/wiggle style without a split.  It has a tiny bit of stretch and is not as tightly fitting as a pencil style dress.  It is calf length and fastens with a rear zip.  The hemline is scalloped and the back is approximately 2" longer than the front.  The straps are adjustable and detachable so the dress may be worn strapless.

The shrug is a cropped style with long sleeves.  It does not fasten and it is not lined.
