- The Lotus Type 78 is the first F1 full-fledged wing car that has made its name in history.
-Introduced from the first round of the 1977 Argentina GP, this machine adopted a slim body based on a sharp wedge shape.
-The inside of the side pontoon has a wing shape that is upside down from the aircraft, and the ground effect generates downforce.
-By adopting the innovative idea of increasing the tire's grounding force without increasing air resistance, it boasted overwhelming cornering speed.
- This year was driven by Mario Andretti and Gunnar Nilsson. Andretti won the West American GP, Spanish GP, French GP and Italian GP, Nilsson also won the Belgian GP.
-The Type 78, which was used until the first half of 1978, made a strong impression on the revival of the prestigious family.
- 1/12 scale, total length 381mm, total width 171mm, total height 76mm.It is an impressive plastic model assembly kit.
- Suspension is movable with a built-in coil spring.
- The front wheels can be turned left and right in conjunction with the steering wheel.
- DFV engine with wiring for fuel pipes and ignition cords.
- The front cowl, cockpit cowl, radiator air duct, and induction box are removable. You can see the internal structure even after completion.
- Photo-etched radiator core, brake discs, two types of front and rear wingtips, and seat belts are also included.
- GOOD YEAR logos on the tip of the nose and front and rear wingtips are provided as slide marks.
