I have a soft spot for old video systems and I bought so many, I can't do all these projects. That's why I am letting this one go.

It is a fix her upper, so restart with a variac ( variable transformer)

What I remember about this one specific, is that I restarted it with a variac, some years ago. I known it did all the clicks etc that video 2000 models are supposed to do. So it is a good base to start with.

One tip: maybe you already know this, just to make sure, one of the common power issues with these models and the models before, is the "main"capacitator. usually a yellow one. Next to the power cord connector. costs about 4 Euro, easy to find, but mostly the problem when power circuits are faulty.
