Listed here today for your viewing and purchase is this vintage tagged Bates cotton twin-sized bedspread featuring an endearing nostalgic display of hollyhocks and flowers adjacent to an inviting front door to a home. (Giving the appearance of being embroidered.) Tag is still attached stating "Bates." Jadite / mint green spread with colors of white, yellow, green and coral. It measures approximately 72" wide by 88" long. I have it photographed atop my extra-deep full-sized mattress. It weighs 3 lb. 9.5 oz. on my postal scale. It is in very good vintage condition; however, I do note that the center of the woven spread is a lighter hue than the sides,probably a result of the bedspread being atop a bed next to a window for a long time. No holes or repairs. I do notice a few pulls. I love this bedspread -- I've never seen a pattern that I have enjoyed admiring more -- but I no longer have a twin bed in my home. |
