Vehicle Details

$22,500 firm. Great, complete garage find real-deal BS23 1970 Cuda. One owner since late 70’s/early ‘80’s. Fully documented matching number 340HP engine WITH matching number 4 speed transmission. This is a very, very decent matching number project, and not your average rusted out midwestern e-body!

Unusual, highly optioned, documented FF4 ‘Cuda with full Gran Coupe leather interior and many, many other factory options. One of less than a handful (reported TWO OR THREE!) 340 4 speed Cudas with leather/Gran Coupe options according to “The Guru.” This vehicle was built during the course of AAR/TA production and as it’s been suggested, it may have possibly been some kind special order.

Engine was rebuilt in the ‘90s and turns over easily by hand. I have no doubt it will run but haven’t attempted it nor am I going to on an original matching number engine to prove a point. This Cuda could be put back on the road with floorpans and relatively straightforward sheetmetal work as a cool, period driver if you wanted an affordable 70 Cuda that is affordable.

Additional information/highlights:

• Two Broadcast Sheets

• 3.55 Sure Grip/Performance Axle Pkg

• Heavy Duty "Hemi" Suspension

• Approximately 100K original miles

• Off the road since the early to mid 1990's

• Original yellow Ohio titles dating back to 1980

• Two owners since new

Very long list of factory equipment, including the very rarely optioned Gran Coupe Interior on a Cuda! Some of the many options include: Leather Seats, Rallye Dash, Premium Trim, 6-Way Adjustable Driver Seat, 3 Spoke Woodgrain Sports Steering Wheel, Woodgrain Instrument Panel, Full Interior/Exterior Light Package, Overhead Consolette w/Warning Lights & Formed Headliner, Music Master AM Radio w/Dual Rear Speakers, Full Tinted Windows, Full Black Vinyl Roof, Painted Racing Mirrors, Hood Pins, Sports Hood (Power Bulge), Several Exterior Trim Options, Performance Axle Package/3.55 Sure Grip, Power Steering, Power Disk Brakes, 14×5.5 Rallye Wheels, Extra Heavy Duty "Hemi" Suspension/Shocks.

Engine was assigned and tagged to the car on Jan 28 1970 and car was built on/near Feb 5, 1970. Transmission was assigned & tagged on the same day engine, and the trans was built Dec 4 1969.

This Cuda retains its original dash VIN tag, laminated VIN sticker/label on LH door, VIN stampings on BOTH core support and top of LH cowl area, along with TWO original broadcast sheets. It is missing the original fender tag but this is easily and correctly reproduced with TWO real/original broadcast sheets that are included. Car was very lightly bumped in the LH front apron in the mid 70's and was likely damaged/misplaced around this time. Left fender was replaced but still retains original core support and apron.

While this 'Cuda spent its entire life in Ohio, it's unusually solid in many areas they are typically rusted out that require extensive repair. Very nice rocker panels, shock towers, core support, torsion bar and support/crossmembers, rear torque boxes, rear frame rails, door shells/bottoms. Needs repairs to a short section of LH front rail under floorpan, small spots on the firewall, right side visor mount, floor pan/center tunnel replacement, trunk pan, and other typical exterior sheet metal replacement for E-bodies from the Midwest. Floor pan and tunnel were removed for a restoration attempt by the long-term owner a few years back but was never completed. The removal was done very well/cleanly and only needs light preparation for installation of a new one-piece pan. The temporary plywood floors were installed for parts containment/transportation purposes only and are quickly/easily removed. Be sure to look through photos of just how nice the rails are in the pictures without the temporary "floors."

Real 1970 Cuda projects are nearly impossible to find in ANY condition these days, let alone one that survived with both its original engine AND transmission. This is especially true/rare on a four speed car!

No scammers. If you are actually an interested/real buyer, send me contact information and I’ll gladly reach out to you. Please don't waste my time if you are not serious.

$22,500 firm! No trades. Clear Ohio title. This is an in-person deal. If you are serious, show up with a trailer and funds in hand, no checks, no wires, too many scams. I am not dealing with out-of-country exporters, transporters, etc.

This vehicle is for sale locally, and may be sold at any time.

The one photo in the ad is that of an example of a restored and similarly equipped FF4 Cuda showing what a killer combination/car this would be restored!
