These original cartoon-like English paintings, circa late 19th century, were possibly executed to be hung in a a Royal Mail Service decorative art.  The cyphers in one which seem to read GR, are shown on the coach and seem to be generic since different cyphers were used for the different monarchs. These are hand painted, likely in tempera and pen. These are colorful and outstanding works of art depicting revelers having a drink while riding a coach. The black painted  frames are original, and are a good indicator of age, along with the backing which has the remains of paper and cardboard wearing away. The paintings are perfect however and have hung together for many years. Each measures a substantial 18.5 X 12.75 inches framed. Painting themselves are 12 X 6.5 inches.   These are wonderful decorative pieces worthy of further research.
