This delicate-looking, 135-year-old, footed "jelly" compote demands attention. The stippled vertical pattern creates focal interest, and its elevated height ensures treats are center stage visually.

Standing 4 3/8" and with a top diameter of 4 3/8", it's great for serving bon bons, nuts, dips, and appetizers such as shrimp cocktail.  For center dips, it will sit securely in a base serving platter with a 3 1/4"- 3 1/2" center ring depression.  Use as a holder for those favorite jewelry items, guest soaps or small items on the countertop. This will also work for floating candles.

It has just a hint of sun-purpling, but no flaws.  As with EAPG, Depression Era, and other vintage glass, there may be slight 'character' marks, bubbles, ripples and mold marks on bottoms or sides from the original mold and/or production process.
