1965 Survivor Beetle

66,000km from new. (41,000 miles)

100% original paint. Amazing condition. 

Original interior in almost perfect condition.

Swedish beetle. Obviously had a good life in Sweden. I believe it was imported to Belgium and owned by the owner of BBT before making it’s way to the UK.

Body.

All the panels are original and rust free. Seriously amazing original body and paint.

No dents or dings.

Original Ruby red paint, with slight patina in places, looks fabulous.

Bumpers are great and proper german original.

All the glass is good.

No rust to worry about. Time warp condition.

Interior.

Stock as it left the factory.

Beautiful Cloth seats, unmarked.

Original Headliner, just about perfect.

Carpet is original with a little wear.

Mechanical

It’s a matching numbers engine. I have birth Certificate.

Fitted with a period correct Reichert Dual carb kit.

123 BT Ignition. (Or an Bosch 010 if you’d rather that)

Sports Exhaust.

Runs great, with a good bump over stock power. (My estimate is around 50hp, rather than the stock 40)

Gear box is super quiet and smooth.

Shocks were replaced with Spax adjustable ones, the ride quality is fantastic.

New 6v Optima battery.

Wheels

Currently on 356 reproduction steels. I do have the original wheels too, in very good condition.

All in all a very good original bug, with some sensible mods. Could be easily put back to stock in a weekend if that’s what you were after. I love how it is now as a oldspeed inspired look.

Drives great, everything works (Lights, Wipers, Horn etc)
