On offer is this vintage circa 1940 powder compact measuring 7 cm square. The compact is made of gold tone metal with machine turned pattern on the base. The lid has has lovely floral design on a pure white guilloche enamel ground which has attractive pattern under the vitreous coating.

This compact has firm hinge and secure catch and opens to reveal a clear and reflective framed glass mirror under the lid. The inner powder well door has a polished gold tone finish with lightly hammered design and has the Evans factory logo and name at the centre. The powder well beneath is empty of powder but retains the original sifter. There is also a puff inside which I believe is a replacment.

This vintage powder compact is offered in good condition. The case has no dents or dings. The gold tone metal base has some dark patches/marks. There are no chips cracks or scratches to the guilloche enamel lid. Thank you for looking.
