I was told that this badge topper was used for preparing a display for the elite US Marshals Service SRT (Special Response Team). This is the SILVER plated version (topper in photo is gold) and measures about 5/8in tall x 2.25in long.
The SRT piece was affixed to a badge on a plaque or embedded in lucite.
