For sale is this very scarce vintage cassette of JOHN LENNON & YOKO ONO - UNFINISHED MUSIC NO.2 : LIFE WITH THE LIONS on the Zapple Records label 1969 in stunning original condition.

As per discogs this title was only ever released once on the cassette format - on the Apple Records short lived experimental side label Zapple in the United States in 1969. This immaculate example is therefore presumed to be the US 1969 1st Issue. The album is one of only two released on the Zapple imprint, the other being George Harrison's ELECTRONIC SOUND.

This cassette has a two panel J-Card inlay with black banner at the top with track listings and a blue spine. The inside fold and reverse are printed with advertising for Capitol Records stereo cassette releases including decidedly non avant-garde artists like Guy Lombardo, Buck Owens, Al Martino, Nat King Cole and Frank Sinatra. Also advertised are Beatles' titles up to YELLOW SUBMARINE but not ABBEY ROAD or LET IT BE which were yet to be released. It has a light grey tape shell and white paper labels with "Zapple" logo. The catalogue number is 4XT 3357.

Condition is superb: The Norelco case is graded Excellent (EX) with only very light wear. The inlay and cassette are in true Near Mint (NM) condition. This tape has been briefly tested, carefully returned to the start and is known to be working. Please Note: Cassettes of this age are extremely fragile. For this reason this tape is sold without guarantee as a collector's item only.

If this item interests you why not have a look at my other listings? I have hundreds of other rare and vintage cassettes and records for sale including dozens more scarce and early Beatle tapes.
