For sale is this extremely scarce vintage cassette of THE BEATLES - A HARD DAY'S NIGHT on United Artists Records (1964).

This wonderfully rare example is one of the very earliest ever Beatles cassette releases. Discogs dates this version to 1967. It is a U.S. issue cassette on United Artists Records. It comes in an Ampex style plastic "Side-slider" slip case with paper paste-over labels and no inlay. It has a remarkable two-tone tape shell, Side One has a black shell with black paper label and Side Two has a white shell with "Made In U.S.A." stamp and black paper labels. The catalogue number is K9006.

The track listing is quite different to the canon version of A Hard Day's Night as United Artists only had the rights to issue music contained in the film. The version of A HARD DAY'S NIGHT that opens the album is different from the original Mono mix. It is longer and has "You know I feel alright" repeated two extra times at the end of the song. The title of I'LL CRY INSTEAD is misprinted on both case and cassette label as "I Cry Instead". Tracks are in both Mono and Stereo.

Side One:
Side Two:

Condition is very good: The slip case is conservatively graded Very Good (VG). The paste-over labels are in tact, still well affixed, with light wear and only minor bubbling here and there. The cassette is graded VG+. The two-tone shell is near perfect. The paper labels with very light wear and rippling only. The original pressure pad is still present. This tape has been carefully tested throughout and is working.

Please note: Cassettes of this age are extremely fragile. For this reason this tape is sold as a collectable item only and without guarantee.
