The body of the console is also in great condition, with only a couple of small scratches at the front (see pics #3, #4). The top screen is also free of significant scratches, but please note the bottom screen (the touch screen) shows some scratches when looking at it against the light (pic #9)
Is the console region-free?
The console is Japanese and as such comes with ONLY Japanese as its system language. This means the console cannot be set to be in English or any other language.
However navigating the menus should be possible even without knowledge of Japanese, particularly if making use of language-translating apps such as Google Translate.
Additionally, the Nintendo 3DS is a region-locked console some non-Japanese games might not play on it.
In general (although there are some exceptions), games released for the Nintendo DS (such as Pokemon HeartGold or SoulSilver) *WILL* work on this console, but games released for the Nintendo 3DS (such as Pokemon X or Y) *WILL NOT* work.
If you're looking to play a specific game on it and you're unsure, please do ask us and we can tell you if such a game would work on this console.
