This is a near scale replica of Selby swing bridge as it stood on the East Coast Mainline of BR up to around 1981. It utilises Peco code 55 track. The bridge decking utilises real wood and the whole model is painted and weathered. The river consists of a two-part epoxy pouring resin coloured with muddy acrylic paint tones.

The board measures approximately 850mm long by 420mm wide and carries bus wires for DCC or DC control. There are soldered power feeds to all running rails.
