Lovely things and yet-to-be-declared-lovely-things, we haz here a preorder bonus for the New Super Mario Bros 2 game, for the 3DS system! A 2012 release, this was offered as an reservation bonus only through 1 specific retailer in the UK "GAME". Estimated to be roughly 500 to 1000 units made.
The coin is quite large and has a nice weighty feel - all metal! Can be considered a medallion too! Identical faces, front and back - we have a lovely design of Super Mario in portrait frame! -
an attractive wreath outer ring design on both
sides of Mario - and an all golden body!
Medium relief design incorporated - meaning there are raised surfaces and lowered grooves - giving the coin a nice 3D pop out effect as you pan your finger over to feel.
Scuffing and specks are present on the surface , viewable up close , not very noticeable when holding at viewing distance - refer to photos #11 and 12. Coin looks fab af still
