This postcard is in good condition and was the property of Harry C Sowerby. As in most of the postcards from his collection, there is a number written on the back in pencil, presumably to allow him to file them on his return to the UK.

Lieutenant H C Sowerby toured the world in the late 1930s as a civilian, visiting amongst other places;

• Germany

During WWII he re-enlisted as a member of the Royal Navy Voluntary Reserve.
