This is my real cool eye catching B250 Dodge van 1992. I have owned it around 6 years and me my daughter and friends have traveled far and wide in it. I've been up Scotland down to Lyme Regis, wales Cornwall east coast etc.

Its a real cool rig and people love chatting about it. There usually asking how it does on fuel and cannot believe its diesel powered.
The conversion was done around 15 years ago before i owned it and I've been contacted several times about its past where it was used to visit car shows etc and general use.

It was originally used on a USA air base to collect air force personnel from planes etc and it came here in 1996.

I have maintained it real good as im a mechanic. It was in good shape when I got it but parts are so easy and cheap to get from the states that i renewed most things like new link bushes and arms, brake pads seals etc, and i have a few spares here as well.

So the conversion is a 2.8 tdi Nissan engine as used in the Nissan patrol, ford maverick and black cabs up to 96. Absolute bullet proof and so easy to work on. No fancy electrics, Fuel wise does about 65 mpg, yes it really is mega economical. It has the  matched auto jap box which came with this model and I had this overhauled by tameside transmitions around 3 year ago £1400 It also has kick down and overdrive for cruising on the motorway.

I also keep it fully serviced with fresh oil and filters, engine and box no leaks anywhere absolutely dry as a bone.

I fitted a brand new rad, alternator new rear dampers new front dampers, refurbed the back leaf springs etc. I did the suspension because I lowered the front by removing a coil and flipped the rear axle so now it sits nice and gives it a better look.

I also made a cool roof rack and it matches the painted rims in orange and wood lats, I repainted the wheel rims inside and out and it has fresh tyres.I also fitted 50mm rear wheel spacers and 25mm spacers on the front with all new wheel nuts, they make it sit nice.

I've just adjusted the steering box so that's got a good feel.

Everything inside works. heating, radio cd player, etc etc I fabricated a front double bench fold down bed with two seat belts, that folds into a good size double leaving all the rear area free

I completely insulated the rear professionally and covered the panels with stretch carpet , The floor is insulated, ply lined and covered with underlay and carpet, ceiling is wall papered and looks trick. There is a small settee to sleep on and also another long matress that can be placed on the floor for a small adult or kid. All the upholstery is in great shape as I had it all professionally done

There is a cooker hob and grill that sits on the work top and folds down and also storage cupboard,, rear inside ceiling lights, a big leisure battery and some storage units. You can take this lot out in 20 minutes and use as a work van or hauler. I do this sometimes if im taking my bikes out for a few bike meets and you still have a great bed to sleep on.

I've had the windows dark tinted for a mean private look.

There is a handy tow hitch if needed

I call this van the rusty zipper surf rig because i have a brand called rusty zipper. I've used it at lots of events and everyone loves to come talk about it.

Underneath is mint never been welded and the body work still looks cool, all the panels are straight with he odd mark here and there. Its a great base if you wanted to mint it in another colour. sides a mega straight.

Seriously i don't want to sell it but i need something bigger for my business as I sell coats at all sorts of events and just cannot get enough gear in it.

I really don't wanna sell because its cool

I dont want any messers on, the insurance is £250 a year on historic vehicle policy, the parts are cheap there are no rear belts but you could put some in. Tax is less than a £1 a day. LEZ compliant.

This is a cool surf rig or day van

This van will go anywhere. I can do a walk round live video if your serious. Call me on 07595443870 im in Heywood lancs.
