In this auction, you are bidding on a Brand New, Never Opened Star Trek: Strategic Operations Simulator game for the Atari 2600 Video Game System.

This game was manufactured in 1983 by Sega and is (obviously) based on the incredible Star Trek universe. From the back cover: "You've seen Star Trek on your TV set before, but never like this. Now you can command the fate of the U.S.S. Enterprise in this home version of the hit arcade game. You're training to become a Federation Starship Captain. Fight off deadly Klingon Battle Cruisers that threaten the existence of your Starbases. Skillfully navigate through perilous asteroid fields and comet storms. Prepare to encounter the most powerful enemy of them all: Nomad! Hours of challenge await you, if you dare to venture where no home video game has ever dared to go..."

The pictures are of the exact item you are bidding for and I've made sure to take shots of every side, so you can zoom in and inspect it all, and I'm happy to take additional pictures of anything you request. I love the gorgeous artwork on this box! If you zoom in, you'll see that there is are spots where there is some wear along some of the edges and the bottom flap is not flush against the box (apparently, the manufacturer's seal on the bottom flap was not perfect, but if you decide to apply just a tiny amount of glue the flap could easily be sealed flush against the edge). Note that since this game is, as already described, new and still sealed, it has not been tested, so be aware when you bid that I cannot make any warranties regarding its functionality.

Finding this 41-year-old game in never-opened condition is very, very uncommon, but there WAS another unopened one that sold on eBay a few weeks ago for $499, so I'm starting the bidding on this one $125 under that.

Whether your are a Star Trek fan, an Atari 2600 fan, or both, this would make a FANTASTIC addition to your collection! Good luck in the bidding! ðŸ˜ƒ
