Lovely vintage plate by Wedgwood. This is a limited edition collaboration to celebrate artist, Marguerite Kirmse (1885-1954). She designed a set of plates for Wedgwood featuring American Sporting Dogs. This plate features the English Setter. There is a charming description of the English Setter personality/characteristics on the back of the plate. These plates are very hard to find. This piece is the quality and detail your would expect from world famous Wedgwood. This plate is in beautiful condition. Some condition information to note: There is some surface crazing consistent with age and there is an imperfection on the back of the plate that does, from an angle, show a slightly darker spot on one part of the very edge of the plate--we've been careful to take very, very detailed photos for you so you can zoom in and examine every aspect of this beautiful plate.
