The Oyster Perpetual Date is, in all but name, a slightly smaller Datejust. Instead of the ubiquitous 36mm case size, it's a tad smaller at 34mm. This makes it perfect for those with smaller wrists. At the same time, the difference is barely noticeable, which is perhaps why Rolex chose to give it a different name. It has the same iconic cyclops as the Datejust, and is aesthetically more or less identical. Unlike its fellow siblings, the Oyster Perpetual Date was not designed with a specific purpose in mind. As such, it has become perhaps the most versatile Rolex ever made, being at home in the boardroom as well as by the side of a pool.
