Vintage 1966 1967 Park Marshall De Luxe 100w KT66 Banana Amplifier Head *1960s*

This incredible custom ordered amplifier has just been restored by the worlds leading Marshall expert - Pleximaster. It warranted a trip out to see him and get this incredible 1 of a kind Park amplifier restored back to it's original self. You will not find another one of these again!

A few months back, I got an email from an old guy down south, who said he had an ‘old Park amplifier setup’ that he’d owned since the 1960s. I asked for pictures, and he sent just one picture back. This one picture was good enough to spark my interest and led to, quite frankly, one of my favourite purchases at The Music Locker. Most early Park amplifiers were made, almost exclusively, by Ken Bran and Dudley Craven ‘a few weeks a year as a bonus’. They include some overlap, transition and crossovers to Marshall amplifiers of the same period. This setup shows all the characteristics of a Bran & Craven collaboration. White Banana Knobs / Aluminium Chassis / 1964-1966 Mustard Cap Codes / Top Vents.

This is the earliest 100w Park amplifier I have ever seen, and the only one I have seen with the original ‘De Luxe’ to the rear panel. We believe this to be a custom ordered 100w Park amplifier, made to the same specs as an earlier 1965 Marshall Super 100 for example. The previous owner told me of Ken Dibble from Midland Sound offering him an ‘upgrade’ when taking it in for a service one day in circa 1973. When I got this, we found that Ken had changed the transformers to suit the more modern EL34 valves as oppose to the KT66 inside of it, which Pleximaster has lovingly restored back to original. The capacitors had also been chassis mounted as oppose to circuit mounted which, again, Pleximaster lovingly restored back to original circuit mounted caps. We had to find some original spec transformers - a special order Marstran 1204-43 mains transformer and 1202-84 output transformer to match the nicely matched quad of GEC KT66 valves. It's now back to exactly how it would have been from the factory, as a KT66 powered 100w amplifier, pretty much the same as a '65 Super 100w. Although this is a players grade amplifier, it is 1 of 1 and you'll not see another. Plus it's been restored by the legendary Pleximaster - you'll not be disappointed. Please the pictures as these form part of my description.
